A caramel-sweet center and well balanced acidity make this coffee quite the crowd pleaser. Flavors range from from burnt sugar, chocolate pistachio, with a ribbon of tangy bittersweets. City to Full City+. Good for espresso.
Full Cupping Notes
At City roast level, the dry fragrance is enmeshed with notes of brown sugar, toffee and dark cocoa. With a shade more roast development raw sugar and darker roast tones are a bit more intense, especially in the wet grounds where the coffee aromatics build into something more aligned with sundae toppings like dark chocolate sauce, malted caramel, and even a hint of roasted nut. The flavors at City and City+ revolve around caramel and unrefined sugar sweetness, with well balanced acidity, and bittersweet tones that edge their way into the finish. It's a pleasantly simple cup profile that includes hints of burnt sugar, chocolate covered pistachio, and subtle dried fruit accents. Taking the roast to Full City+ develops a tangy sharpness to the roast tones, ribbons of extra dark chocolate, flourless torte, and more. It brews top notch espresso too, pulling together rich chocolatey flavors with a dried fruit hints, like raisins coated in baking cocoa and extra dark chocolate, and a hint of cinnamon bark tea in the aftertaste.

Origin & Farm Notes
This is a small producer blend made up from coffee farms near Buesaco town, in Colombia's Nariño Department. We put this blend together after cupping several samples from the region, the goal being to separate out any coffees that hit our quality target. The local coffee association is a newer venture started by two brothers who stepped out on their own to offer a more direct and transparent option than some of the local competitors. Association membership continues to grow, and we're always presented with some truly impressive coffees, including on our Summer 2025 visit to their warehouse cupping lab. Farms are typically planted in Caturra and Variedad Colombia (F4 and F6 types), grown at altitudes between 1700 and 2000 meters, and each contributing lot in this batch are fully washed.
