To test filters, we pour hot water through a dry one and taste the water after it cooled. The paper taste for these was minimal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you fold the seams and pre-rinse before you brew, you can expect a filter that will produce great coffee and not break.
