Product Overview
Full Cupping Notes

This is just the kind of sweet, clean flavor profile I look to for my morning brew, and guaranteed to pull me back for a second cup! The fragrance at City+ showed panela/raw sugar notes, with hints of caramel, and orange, while the wet aroma had a strong impression of creamy nougat, and vanilla merengue cookie. City+ to Full City is where I found my favorite profiles, the sweetness well developed, playing off a mild bittersweet underlay, and fruit accents that build up balanced acidity. My City+ roasts had sweet flavors of raw sugar cane and cream caramels that consolidate in a finish with notes of dark toffee, and vanilla. The cup acidity is moderate, and well balanced, with tangy aspect of slightly unripe orange that are mouth pleasing. I picked up on a faint presence of cocoa powder notes in the middle and finish, an element that's much more pronounced at Full City roast.

Origin & Farm Notes

This blend of coffee from Inzá is made up of coffees from 2 neighboring small producers in Vereda Agua Blanca, Inzá. ("Vereda" being the equivalent of a small neighborhood, or village). 12 of the bags came from Robinson Pillimué (featured in the photos), whose coffee we've bought for many years now. The Pillimué name marks the doors of many homes in the nearby hamlet of San Antonio, Inzá, in Colombia's southern Department of Cauca. Robinson's family not only run the small grocery store in town, but his brother, Nilson, is at the helm of the coffee buying warehouse who we work with for all our Inzá coffees. The farm is planted in Bourbon, Caturra, Variedad Colombia, Gesha, and Castillo. Since acquisition, Robin has planted several thousand new coffee trees, and made many improvements to the property and milling equipment. The farms of both Robin and Arnulfo (the other producer) range in altitude from 1750 to about 1900 meters above sea level.
