We have never offered coffee from Cuba, but it holds an important place in the history of coffee in the Americas.
Coffee was introduced to Cuba in the mid 18th century. Arabica was being cultivated on other islands prior to it being brought to Cuba from Martinique.
Cultivation increased when French farmers who had been focused on coffee in Haiti, fled the Haiti Slave Revolt.
Looking for other suitable places to plant coffee, many settled in the Sierra Maestra Mountains in the eastern part of Cuba. Here they found land to create large plantations.
